Just back from a fabulous Spring break at Lake Como………….
We arrived at the Grand Hotel Tremezzo on Day 3 of the 2016 Season. The usual warm welcome was waiting for us. Familiar faces greeted us with enthusiastic smiles. It felt “just like home”:)
After checking into our lovely room overlooking the lake we had coffee with a senior member of staff who excitedly described the upgrades that had taken place during the Winter. The hotel had been closed from early November allowing for some rather extensive improvements to take place. The Flowers Pool in the hotel gardens, which I had always thought was perfect, had received a complete face lift. Decking has replaced some of the grass and there is now a glorious stone finish to the pool and surrounding area…… very chic-looking.
Another upgrade relates to the Spa facilities. Again, my own view was that the T-Spa was heavenly and I could see almost no room for improvement. However, with global trends and our more and more stressful lives a broader menu and more extensive offering addresses current demand. Just venture out of the main building and check out the new features. The T-Spa Suite where couples can be spoiled together is not just for honeymooners. The Turkish Hammam Suite can be booked for a session to cleanse your mind and body; a great start to your holiday! The Yoga Studio has sessions that will take care of your overall balance and well-being, and the Mosaico Studio will ensure that you are perfectly groomed. More about these new features later…..
